Arcovis is seeking energetic, driven, like-minded professionals to join its team of SharePoint and Enterprise Search experts. The Senior SharePoint Consultant position requires the ability to drive successful client engagements, to identify opportunities, and deliver solutions that meet identified business needs while helping shape the client's technology roadmap. The right candidate should be self-driven, and have the skills to both define and pursue the goals of a project.  The ability to pay close attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture is crucial. This role requires a broad technical background and experience implementing enterprise SharePoint deployments.

Experience

Qualified applicants should have the following or similar experience:

Consulting

• Facilitation of discussions with C-level executives and Senior level technology decision makers
• Collaboration with project management to define project deliverables and schedules
• Project timeline management, identification, resolution and escalation of project risks and issues
• Experience working with end users who know little to nothing about SharePoint or technology in general 
  

Technical

• Design/implementation of large, strategic SharePoint projects for Enterprise Customers
• Technical Specification design, logical and physical solution design
• Portal design including CMS/WCM, collaboration, multi-lingual, enterprise search, branding requirements
• Proposal/SOW development
  

Skills

• General and Technical
• Excellent soft skills, including written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, time management, adaptability and strong work ethic.
• Strong speaking and presentation skills (UML, white boarding)
• Clear understanding of SharePoint architecture, topologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of upgrade paths and strategies for SharePoint products
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including:  Database technologies, Active Directory, storage, networking and authentication (claims, Kerberos, forms, etc.) as they relate to SharePoint
• Understanding of .NET development and client side scripting (JavaScript, jQuery).  Do not need to be a coder, but should understand core concepts
• Knowledge of widely used third party SharePoint tools (backup, workflow, admin, etc.)
• Customer/Business Oriented
• Ability to communicate requirements with users on a business level, and understand how to translate to technical requirements for development
• Ability to organize and prioritize the client's needs, keeping in mind the "big picture"
• Provide good advice to clients both when asked and when not asked
• Strong understanding of the importance (and challenges) of governance in an Enterprise environment
 

Plusses

• BI experience, related SharePoint features and integration points
• Experience with FAST or other Enterprise Search technologies
• Microsoft Certifications
• Deep exposure to industries such as manufacturing, financial, legal, consumer retail
• Product lifecycle experience
